Helping Martese Fight ALS

My name is Martese Gee. I’m a 48 year old, single parent to four children, ages 9, 12, 21, 27 and my whole heart is my grandson who will be 3 yrs old in November. I was diagnosed with ALS on March 15, 2022 and on that day my world was shattered. ALS (aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease) is a 100% fatal disease with no cure. The life expectancy after diagnosis is 2-5 years. It’s one of the cruelest diseases a person can experience because it rapidly limits motor movement to the point where one can no longer swallow, eat, speak, or move.

Since diagnosis, I have been to several doctors for testing and treatment, but nothing has proven effective at reversing my symptoms. I’m in the early stages of the disease and I literally feel as if I am fighting for my life. I am currently experiencing slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, weakness in my left hand, and muscle twitching. I know God is my Healer but everyday is a real struggle. My children are the reason that I get up and continue to fight. I want to live to see my youngest children graduate high school and live out their dreams.

I feel led to take the next steps in my healing through Body Science, a clinic based in Miami, Florida. This clinic has been successful at treating ALS patients that are in the early stages of the disease. Doctors are able to get to the root cause using groundbreaking treatments, which in return rebuilds muscle. As a result, patients are regaining function of their bodies.
