Helping Madelyn fight Cancer one day at a time ❤️

Donation protected
Hi everyone!
For those that do not know Madelyn’s story, she is a three year old fighting an ugly disease. she was diagnosed stage 3 diffuse anaplastic Wilms on October 5th. She has had her left kidney, adrenal glands and some lymph nodes removed during the initial surgery October 7th. The tumor itself was bigger than a softball, which thankfully was also able to be removed after 8 hours of surgery. Being that her pathology came back diffuse anaplastic it makes it extremely aggressive and harder to beat. Less then 10% of Wilms are diffuse anaplastic and most are in older children. We were all shocked and devastated with this news, But she’s not letting that slow her down.
Last Tuesday December 1st we went to Lourie Children’s in Chicago and had her right ovary removed to save for possible babies in the future but also for hormone therapy when she gets older. Menopause will likely begin in her late 20s early 30s but when she starts showing signs we can replace part of her ovary and it will give her 3-5 more years and repeat the process until there isn’t any more tissue left.
We started radiation treatments today which when combined with all the chemotherapy will kill about 80% of her eggs. Her last radiation will be on her 4th birthday, December 19th.
This has had both a mental and physical toll on her, Brayden, myself and Nathan. I currently am not working due to all the travel for treatment not to mention the unplanned stays. The credit cards debts are rising. Unfortunately bills don’t stop.
we’re asking for your help getting through this fight. Madelyn is my little warrior and she is a fighter. Treatment is planned until August-September 2023. Not including follow up scans and the long term effects of what her little body is going through. Even if you can’t help financially please just remember her when you say your prayers. We have a long road ahead of us and the more support we have the better. It truly takes a village. ❤️

I will now start posting her updates in here as well to keep them all in one place. Thank you all who have been there for us and who have continuously prayed for her. It means the world, truly!
