Helping Lynn stay with Ellie in Sweden

*Update - July 8, 2025
We have made some movement in the case but things are starting to focus on family law as opposed to immigration, so we are ramping up to start a new direction with new team members at the law firm who specialize in what we need. We don’t have a definite budget just yet but we are preparing for additional basic costs that should be coming in the next couple of weeks.
I am still unable to re-enter the country if I leave during the decision / legal process, so my ability to raise extra money by performing or touring outside of Sweden has been cut out. It's been super tough, but you guys have really helped out so far and I can't express how grateful we are.
Anyone contributing any level of support will be sent a small collection of music I have made for my upcoming album, with some alternate versions and unreleased material. It’s all I can offer at the moment besides my eternal gratitude and love for everyone who has taken this on with us.
Hello, my name is Lynn. I live in Stockholm and spend half of my time co-parenting with my daughter’s mother. Ellie (pictured) is 4 years old and I have been there from day 1. We spend a few days a week together and she stays at my place during those days. It’s been a blast so far and I really want to keep it that way.
I have been living in Sweden as a temporary resident and the country requires me to renew the permit every 2 years. I am in the middle of a renewal and the agency needs clarification on my case - mostly related to how much I see her and how much I am a part of her life.
These issues require immediate attention from an immigration lawyer in order for me to stay in Sweden with my daughter. Things are starting to look up regarding my residency renewal, but unfortunately we had to hire an attorney who specialises in cases like these.
I was already in the process of planning a new & better life for us here and a lot of changes have been happening. It’s been a long road and we were making progress it seemed but we hit this recent roadblock which could result in my removal from Sweden.
I have been here for 4 years and started a new life - not just with Ellie but with my group of friends doing music nights in my neighborhood as well as teaching music production workshops to the youth in the area. We have become a family and being removed from that is another level of heartbreak.
If I were to be deported, I wouldn’t be able to see my daughter for quite some time and I would be removed from the life I have built and so many people that I love and care about.
We are trying to raise around 30,000 sek (roughly 3,000$) to pay the initial fee and then have a little bit left in case we need to hire some more hours from the lawyer.
Anything helps, and we’ve come a long way so far. Weeks of stress and anxiety are finally starting to clear up. Thanks so much for any help and all the love your way.
