This is my sister Lynda. On Sunday, January 11, her studio apartment was destroyed in a fire. She just lost her son last February, lost her cat last month, and now she has lost most of her belongings. She is a 1964 Tillamook High School graduate and a retired nurse who has given to others her entire life and is on a modest fixed income.

We are still waiting to hear what, if anything, will be salvageable, due to heavy smoke and possibly water damage. The apartment is padlocked and the only things she was able to retrieve were her meds and her son's ashes, thanks to a thoughtful firefighter.

Thankfully, she has secured other housing, but will need help with replacing things. I told her that this is the kind of community who will not let a 79 year old lady suffer. Anything donated will go directly to Lynda so she can cover expenses. Thank you so much, Tillamook.
