My granddaughter Lyla is seven years old. After a leg injury she was found to have a bone tumor in her leg. She is now in a wheel chair.
She has had x-rays, an MRI, a CT scan, a bone scan and the biopsy of the tumor has been sent to Johns Hopkins for extensive testing. It is unknown at this time whether the tumor is malignant. She has been under the care of multiple physicians and is currently being treated by an orthopedic oncologist. Surgery is scheduled for early April.
Her parents have medical insurance but their deductible is $20,000. The medical bills are piling up and Lyla's parents could use some help.
