Helping Luke beat cancer AGAIN

On Friday, December 6th, Heather took her 7 year  old son, Luke, to the hospital where she was told every parent’s worst fear.  Luke has Cancer. They found a large tumor around his heart, and cancer in his kidneys, lymph nodes, bone marrow and spinal fluid. After being transferred to PCH, they immediately assembled a team of doctors and began treatment on this rare form of Lymphoma that Luke is fighting. While the prognosis is very promising, they have a long road ahead of them. Luke will not be able to attend school, and will have to go for treatment and doctor appointments weekly.  During this time, Heather will not be able to work because of the care Luke will need.  Along with dealing with the awful effects of treatment and how hard cancer is on the whole family, there is a financial burden that comes with this terrible disease.
