Last month Lucinda was diagnosed with stage cervical cancer. She has to undergo a hysterectomy, additional surgery in her abdomen and chemotherapy. Her surgery date is at the end of next month. This will require her to take a minimum of two months off of work. She is the only income that her family receives. She is also self employed and doesn’t qualify for state disability benefits. If you know Lucinda then you know she is one of the hardest working single mothers out there. Lucinda is always the first to ask, “How can I help?” She has always been a giver with a big heart. Lucinda has two children and a grandson that live with her. She runs her own cleaning business which is very physically demanding and she does not have other employees to bring in money while she recovers. Lucinda is already feeling the hit on her finances due to medical testing appointments and doctor visits. I’m asking that anyone that can help, please please donate what you can. Medical bills will be rolling in soon and she needs financial help as soon as possible. She is in the process of getting signed up for some county aid but unfortunately that will not be a quick or easy fix and it is not very much money. It will not even cover her rent. I can’t think of anyone who is more deserving of a helping hand.
