Many of the people reading this will already know the story of Lou Benavides and how wonderful of a friend he is.  He has probably gotten you or your friends into many a show for free, hooked you up with merch, or just made you laugh. You may also know that he almost just died from the Covid 19 virus. Lou unfortunately WAS NOT one of the lucky ones that had very little to no symptoms... Lou was the one that wound up in the hospital, where he was told that if he had waited one day longer to seek medical attention that he would have not made it. Luckily, he did make it, but now begins a more difficult journey.

Lou's medical bills are through the roof due to insurance being what it is, he has months of rehab in front of him. His lungs were hit the hardest during Covid and that’s been his primary focus since he’s been released from the hospital. He’s got an oxygen machine at home and a nurse that comes by regularly. While he’s making very good progress with that, he also has a myriad of other health issues that have also arisen because of Covid. Long story short, he has quite the hill to climb to reach full recovery. His breathing is getting stable, his speech is back, and he’s also regaining strength in his body. These are good things, and Lou is confident he can beat this.  But these things come with a price tag.

As you know, medical care is not cheap. And Lou is definitely not rich. He hasn’t worked in over a year, and now with the music industry slowly starting back up, he can’t return to work. So…….THAT'S WHY WE ARE HERE AND THAT'S WHY WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP! We are hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden that he has to take on. For a comparison, a vacation to Hawaii is cheaper than Lou’s eight day hospital stay. 

It’s a big goal we’re setting, but it reflects the big burden that Lou has before him and I wouldn't have set it that high if it wasn't needed. If Lou has ever hooked you up with a spot on the guest list, a VIP Pass, or just an awesome night out we would love for you to consider a donation for a person that really needs your help. If every person he ever got into a show gave a few dollars then we would hit this goal so fast.
