Helping Lorna Start Over

On September 23rd our neighbour Lorna lost her house in a terrible accident which caused her furnace to explode and engulf her home in flames.
Thankfully Lorna’s neighbour Maurice Franklin heard the explosion, jumped the fence and kicked down the door to find Lorna on the floor of her home surrounded with flames, embers, and smoke. He was able to help her out of the burning building to safety.
Shortly after, the East Paul Lake Fire Department (with the assistance of the Pinantan and West Paul Lake Volunteer Fire Departments) were able to stop the flames from spreading to the forest or the neighbouring homes and put out the fire.
Lorna is now recovering in ICU from burns on her hands and face and is stable but has a long way to go. She has lost everything in the fire and will be starting over.
After everything that everyone has gone through this year, losing your home and belongings on top of that is unimaginable. We, her neighbours, are raising funds to help her to start over and to heal without having to worry about things like clothing, shelter, or funds.
We know this is a particularly difficult time for a lot of people but if you are able to donate to our neighbour, it would mean the world and would help her so much in her journey to start over.
About The Fundraiser
Who are your organizers?
We are Lorna's neighbours in East Paul Lake (and I am one of the more tech confident neighbours under the age of 35 haha).
What will happen to the funds?
The purpose of this fundraiser is to send the funds directly to Lorna and her family so that she can use it to get back on her feet (whether that be clothing, accommodation, replacing some of what she lost in the fire etc).
