This GoFundMe account is being set up for my cousin’s 4 year old son. He has been hospitalized for almost a week at CHOC in Orange, California. He was hospitalized for a severe rash, constipation, dehydration, and severe pain. 

Logan’s parents (my cousin Shellie and her husband Chad) took him to the doctor 13 times from 2/21 until he was admitted on 4/16. What started as a yeast rash became perianal strep, and then both. His most recent dermatologist said he did not have either, and only treated for dermatitis. Logan ended up with his bottom completely covered in bloody sores. Eventually Logan became scared to poop and got constipated and then dehydrated because he wasn’t wanting to eat or drink much, which landed him in the hospital. 

Since Logan has been in the hospital, both of his parents have exhausted the last of their PTO. Shellie has stayed with Logan in the hospital since he was admitted, and the cost of being a parent in a child in the hospital is starting to add up, even for “cheap” cafeteria meals. Chad went to work a few days and the cost of gas, parking passes, etc., also adds up.

 More than these things, I know hospital bills and costs associated with follow up care coming and I want to help them not be worried about how they will be paid. Doctors anticipate Logan will need months of care from a Gastrointestinal specialist to fully recover. They have enough on their plates right now and don’t need to be concerned about bills and loss of income on top of their son’s health. Thank you for any help you can provide!
