Hello,
As most of you know, a few years ago our dearest Lindsey King was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. We would like to start with saying THANK YOU, everyone, from the bottom of our hearts for your help, love, kindness, prayers, etc for Linds over the last few years, and this journey. As you know she underwent a mastectomy in 2017, and since she has had a few instances of the cancer coming back. Unfortunately I am here with not the best news. Lindsey's cancer has returned, and metastasized in her spine. So here we are again, reaching out for your help to assist in medical bills, and support.
Quick re-cap
Original Diagnosis August 2016 – Breast Cancer Diagnosis, 2cm invasive ductal carcinoma right armpit/breast
September 2016 – April 2017 – Holistic Approach
April 2017 – Bilateral Mastectomy w/ tissue expanders for reconstruction
October 2017 – Reconstruction Surgery / Permanent implants
January 2018 – re-occurrence in original tumor site – surgery to remove & clear margins
January 2018 – started taking Tamoxifen per oncologist
June 2018 – Re-occurrence in right nipple, surgery to remove & clear margins
June 2018 – Stopped taking Tamoxifen per oncologist (cancer grew thru medication, not working)
July 2018 – September 2018 – 33 rounds of radiation
August 2019 – Surgery to lift / reduce left breast for symmetry
Now, what you may not know, aside from the fact that Lindsey has fought hard to keep the cancer out of her body, is that there have been a few instances of reoccurrences, and surgeries to remove cancer, on more than one occasion. Since November 2019 Lindsey has been dealing with the following:
November 2019 - January 2020 - Went to breast surgeon with suspicious lump in right nipple, biopsied, came back positive. Scheduled surgery for December 2019 to remove. Had body/bone scan before surgery, found suspicious spots on spine. MRI & biopsy to verify. first bone biopsy 12/27, what happened the next week is Lindsey received a call from the hospital, that her specimen was lost. Second bone biopsy 1/7/20, YES she had to go thru all of that again.
After that appointment she had a follow up appointment with her Dr, where she was notified that the results of that biopsy determined her to be positive for cancer, AGAIN.
At this point, Linds has a treatment plan in place (below), but with ALL OF THIS, she has been forced to miss countless non paid hours of work, tons of days off for surgeries, appointments, treatments, illnesses, etc. What was supposed to be the first year of marital bliss for Lindsey and Jerrit has also been filled with tons of Dr appointments, treatments, tears, stress, and planning for a healthier future. The reality is that cancer is freaking expensive, and so is just day to day life.
So we are coming to you today to ask if you can, to donate to simply remove any stress that we can from the Staggs. If donating isn't in your budget, please share, and PRAY for Lindsey. Pray for stress relief, and HEALING. Lindsey is a fighter, y'all already know that, but some help would be such a blessing for Jerrit and Linds!
Thank you for your continued support.
I will keep you all updated as changes arise.
Oh and hi Linds, don't call and yell at me for this please.
We all love you, and want to help you in any way that we can!

Current treatment plan:
1. Daily oral medications:
Ibrance - works to put the brakes on cancer cell growth
Tamoxifen: attaches to the hormone receptor in the cancer cell, blocking estrogen from attaching to the receptor. This slows or stops the growth of the tumor by preventing the cancer cells from getting the hormones they need to grow.
2. monthly injections of Prolia (osteoporosis medication to help strengthen bones & create a surface on my bones that prevents cancers from sticking to them)
These medications in combination will essentially shut her ovaries down and block the production of estrogen putting me in to menopause (with the possibility of reversal after finishing treatment) since the type of cancer I have is strongly fed by estrogen. Also, my oncologist wants to leave the positive lump in my right breast for now to use as a marker to monitor thru treatment.
