On June, 16, 2020 Lindsay writes to her friends on Facebook,  "I found a lump in my breast a little over 2 months ago and went in Friday for the mammogram and an ultrasound, which led to a biopsy (which hurt sooooo damn bad that i told the doc he was lucky i didn’t punch him in the throat) and he called me Saturday and said a few words no one wants to hear. . .”You have Breast Cancer.” I have been thinking about all of this for two months waiting for the test. My plan is to start eating a little better, start working out so that I have all the strength I need to fight this and kick it’s ass!

Lindsay's diagnosis is Stage 2 Breast Cancer in her left breast.  Labeled as "Invasive Ductile Carcinoma" on her Pathology Report fro Roper Hospital, the doctor is recommending a Double Mastectomy followed by Chemotherapy.  Her surgery is scheduled through MUSC on July 28.  Lindsay has previously managed a restaurant, then went on to work as an assistant for an independent contractor.  Because of COVID, she has been out of work and patiently waiting for her unemployment funds.  She is already having to pay up front costs for doctors and the surgery, while not being employed.   She is already in need of extra funds!
