Our beloved Linda Mark, pianist and collaborator extraordinaire and essential supporter and friend to the flute community, is undergoing treatment for cancer. Linda has held the hand, musically and literally, of so many of us through auditions and competitions and lessons and has been a constant gentle presence in the flute world through her long association with Julius Baker as his studio pianist, through her work at Juilliard, and for countless performances with many an aspiring student and established great artist.
