Helping Lilly & Family

In November 2021, Lilly Wang (age 41) was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, a rare cancer growing in her blood vessels. She tried multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, but treatment was ineffective as her cancer metastasized to her right kidney, liver, and aorta. As she tried to combat her cancerous tumours, and through all the physical pain, she was also fighting an emotional battle at home as her husband suffered from severe mental illness, which declined severely after Lilly's cancer diagnosis. In July 2022, his life ended abruptly.

With her husband gone, Lilly was left to be the sole caregiver for her 10-year-old son and her elderly parents. Lilly's misfortunes continued, as her father was diagnosed with stage-4 lung cancer just a month before her husband's passing. Between hers and her father's hospital visits, chemotherapies, and radiation therapies, managing her son's emotional trauma from dealing with his father's sudden passing, and everything else in between, life became extremely challenging for her.

Lilly knew the only solution to her woes was to conquer her illness. She knew time was not on her side and that she needed to take a proactive approach to her condition. After multiple consultations with one of the top cancer doctors in Canada, he gave her hope that she could prolong her life by removing her cancerous tumours through a significant and risky operation. The operation would require the removal of blood vessels and organs where the tumours were growing. She understood the risks and accepted that her recovery would be just as challenging if she survived the operation. With her son as her priorty, Lilly took the chance to give herself another shot at life.

Her 20-hour operation was successful; however, Lilly's condition declined sharply two days later. While in a coma, her organs began to fail, and her blood pressure dropped. All her friends and family gathered, fearing for the worst. As the week went by, Lilly showed signs of internal bleeding and needed emergency surgery. Shortly after her second surgery, she developed a bacterial infection, which she is currently combating. Through long intubation periods, one of her lungs filled with fluids and showed signs of collapse, making breathing and simple conversations difficult.

Lilly's family needs your help. Not only does she not have any financial support after her husband's passing, but she also has two elderly seniors (one gravely ill) and a young child who needs immediate care and attention. Please consider donating to the Wang family to help them out. Every little bit helps, and it is VERY much needed and appreciated.

THANK YOU for your generosity, love, and support for the Wang family. We will all be forever grateful to you!
