Lenny and Lisa, along with their daughters Tennessee (13), Jupiter (6), and Stormi (4), are close personal friends of mine. My daughter goes to school with Jupiter at Springwater Environmental Sciences School. They are a beautiful, hard-working family, raising three daughters in a time when the cost of living keeps rising. Having recently moved to the area, they don’t have a lot of support around them, but they have always shown kindness and generosity to everyone they meet.
On Sunday, January 25, early in the morning, a fire broke out in their home outside Oregon City. Their neighbor noticed the smoke and banged on the door to wake them up. Thankfully, everyone—including their beloved cat and dog—made it out safely. While we are all grateful for their safety, the fire destroyed their home and most of their belongings, leaving them with little more than the clothes on their backs. The insurance company has deemed it a total loss, and they have been told they cannot access the home to recover any belongings.
The funds raised will help Lenny, Lisa, Tennessee, Jupiter, and Stormi with temporary housing, clothes, toys, food, and replacing all the personal items lost that insurance won’t cover. Thank you for your consideration of a donation, and we are very grateful for any help that you can provide this wonderful family in their time of need.
