Hi friends & family!

Hello, my name is Lauren Raj. I have been offered an amazing opportunity to fill a dream of mine to change careers. For any of my potential supporters out there, here's a little bit about me. I am a USAF Veteran who enlisted 2 months after 9/11. It was a difficult decision but I wouldn't change a thing. The military taught me service before self, integrity & excellence in all we do. In addition, they taught me discipline, responsibility & above all to be a good human being. I have taken these lessons with me through various ups and downs over the last 25 years, which brings me here.

Behind the curtains I have been working very hard on this for the last 7 months. I have taken courses, done research, spoken to others in the field & obtained 2 of the required certifications to begin this new adventure. I have been lucky enough to find a company who has offered me a posistion which I have accepted. This new adventure is not a job, it is a career with a company that has been around for over 80 years and is ever growing and I have opportunity for advancement.

I've been hired as a Safety Coordinator for Briggs Electric. The majority of Safety Coordinators have 5-10 years of experience & I got extremely lucky as Briggs wants "green" employees that they are able to train the Briggs way. This company shares many of the lessons I have learned while being active duty.

I will need to relocate across the country to Carson City, Nevada. I currently do not have a vehicle as I got rid of it during covid. I will be renting a car as well as staying in a hotel until I can save enough to find reliable transportation and stable housing.
