Helping Kimberley Bakker Vargas: Road to Recovery

On Thursday, July 29 Kim suffered a massive stroke in her left brain hemisphere. It was found that she had 100% blockage of one of her main brain vessels and was air lifted to Loyola Stroke ICU to under go a procedure to clear out the vessel. Upon arrival, it was decided by the Neuro surgeons that she was no longer a candidate for the procedure due to the amount of brain tissue death.

We are now waiting on post stroke swelling to assess the complete damage and the best plan for any and all type of recovery.

We are creating this to help support the Vargas family in recovery and healing. All monies will help with medical costs, daily costs of traveling to and from Chicago, and help supplement lost wages while she will be in long term recovery.

After being stabilized, she will become a resident in Loyola Stroke center for the long term recovery process.

We all greatly appreciate all prayers, positive vibes and good thoughts sent her way! Kim has ALWAYS been a huge supporter of EVERYONE around her. She is a very strong women that we are so proud of. Sending her your love and support will mean the world to her and all of us!
