Helping Kim and Shelley Carnegie

My name is Paul Knibbs. I'm a long time trucker turned insurance agent. Kim has been a friend for many years. I know him very well and what has happened to him is a real nightmare and should never happen to anyone.

On July 23, 2021 Kim through no fault of his own was assaulted from behind with a pipe to the back of his head resulting in impaired speech and ability to walk. The person who performed this cowardly act has now become the subject of a criminal investigation. There were also 6 other people there who stood by and watched this happen without any attempt to intervene.

He is now forced to use a wheelchair to have any mobility. He has been in hospital since this happened and it’s being said by his doctors that it will be up to a year before Kim can return to his job. Head injuries can result in serious consequences for the person affected. We can only hope he makes a full recovery. As you might imagine Kim’s life as a trucker has come to a standstill, both in terms of being able to work and provide for himself and his wife and pay his bills.

For anyone who knows Kim they will agree Kim is an honest easy going hard working guy. Anyone who meets Kim would like him; he’s just that kind of guy. He did not deserve to have this happen and he needs some help. Could any of you fellow truckers find a way to make a donation of any kind?. Kim and Shelly would certainly appreciate your generosity.
