Helping Kevin Fight Cancer

Hi, we are Mark and Lin-Z Raney, dear friends of Kevin and Jen Sisco. Kevin has recently been diagnosed with AML - Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He is about halfway complete of a 28 day cycle of chemotherapy treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Following his current treatment he will have a second 28 day chemo treatment. Once those treatments are complete he will have a bone marrow transplant. Through the grace of God his older brother, Ken Sisco, was a match so Kevin was able to find a donor quickly. The cure rate will depend on the next 2-3 years after the transplant and staying in remission.

For those of you who know Kevin and Jen, you already know exactly how incredible this couple is. Kevin and Jen came into our lives around 5 years ago when we became neighbors. They are truly the most caring and compassionate people we have ever met. They would give the shirt off their backs for anyone. They are always smiling, and laughing, and can lift anyone's spirits just by being around them. Their children and their grandchildren are the light of their lives. Family is so important and they treat everyone they know just like family. Anytime we ever needed anything they were there. So now, we want to give back to them just as they have given so much to everyone else.

We are setting up this Go Fund Me to help him financially through this difficult time. As many know, the cost of cancer is not cheap and unfortunately, insurance companies don't cover as much as they should. As Kevin and his family begin this fight, we want their focus to be: to stay strong, get healthy, and kick Cancer's butt (without the stress of how to pay the finances).
