For those who have not heard the tragic news that has shattered hearts and has shaken our communities, 19 year old Keegan Bayne perished in a work-related incident at Millennium Roads, LLC. in Lyndonville, NY. Keegan and his co-worker Chase Johnson were cleaning the inside of a tanker that hauled de-icing material which is used on roadways. Both men were overcome by fumes of the chemicals. Keegan sadly did not survive this exposure and Chase is at Strong Hospital as his lungs are badly damaged. Most people have wondered what they can do to help. First of all, PRAY for them and their families. Pray for the healing of Chase Johnson. Secondly, we hope to raise money to cover Keegan’s funeral expenses to lessen the financial burden for his family.  Keegan lived a full and successful life in his nineteen years. He was the son of Gary and Faith Bayne and was the dear sibling of Masson and Garren Bayne. I recall so many young adults commenting about Keegan being such a fantastic friend. He had the gift of making everyone laugh and was always smiling through everything that he did. His sister Masson said Keegan was “super loving, he always had a smile on his face, and was willing to help anyone who asked. He was an amazing son, brother, and friend.” Keegan graduated from Lyndonville Central School in 2019. He graduated from Alfred this spring with Honors where he had studied precision machinery. Keegan also enjoyed fishing and riding his dirt bike. You are so missed, Keegan! Please join me in lifting the spirits of his family.
