My name is Linda, and I am creating this GoFundMe to support my dear friend, Kayla, as she faces the challenging journey of being diagnosed with breast cancer at just 33 years old.

Kayla and her husband, Trent, who recently got married in 2024, are now facing a battle they never imagined. This should be a time for making life plans as newlyweds, but instead, their focus has shifted entirely to Kayla’s health and treatments. Both Kayla and Trent have had to take time off work over the past few months so she can undergo her first round of chemotherapy and manage the healing process that comes with it. Unfortunately, Kayla is no longer eligible for EI support, which has added a significant financial strain.

To make matters even more difficult, Trent was recently a victim of bank fraud, which drained part of their savings and left them stressed about covering bills while the bank completes its investigation.

I know we are all facing challenging times but I am asking their community, friends, and loved ones to help ease the financial burden that comes with this disease, so Kayla and Trent can focus on what matters most: healing, staying strong, and kicking cancer’s ass.
