Helping Kate and Kevin
Donation protected
Last month, our sister/daughter Kate Moran was diagnosed with breast cancer. While it is unsettling and unwelcome news for anyone to hear, it feels especially unfair to hear it given to someone who is only 39 with three small kids at home.
If you are receiving this link, I'd imagine it is because you know Kate and Kevin and if you know Kate and Kevin, you're already aware that to know them is to have been touched by them. They are both at their core, givers. They live their lives with a quiet and humble compassion. You'll never hear them boast about the work they do, Kate as a nurse and Kevin as a social worker. They won't ask for much, but are always there with kind note or offer a ride to the airport. That's just Kate and Kev.
We know that Kate will be fine, her grace and humor will get her through this and probably somehow keep us laughing as she always does.
But because they do so much for us and the community at large, we decided to put together this fundraiser. We wanted to help them through this difficult time as Kate's surgery and treatment will most likely keep her out of work for 3-4 months. We appreciate all of you who have reached out offering to help, we know how much Kate and Kev mean to us and we're glad we are able to show them and be there for them at this time.
Thank so much!
