Our dear friend Kat Denor-Mcclanahan was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma. This news is a shock to everyone as Kat is only 25 years old and leads a generally healthy lifestyle. Kat is known to us all as being a loving friend, poet, comedian, and chef de cuisine who makes space at the table for everyone.

The tumor has spread to her lymphatic system and Kat will need surgery on August 10th. This procedure will require a skin graft and leave her incapable of walking for a month, not to mention inundated with insurmountable bills on top of $900/mo in insurance costs. This is also the first of many procedures Kat will need to ensure the longevity of her health.

We are collectively raising funds to help Kat fight this battle, who has recently lost her father and lives alone.

Any contribution to help her get through this difficult time will be appreciated and allocated to:

• Initial surgery which will be a bulk of the expense
• Consultations
• Scans
• Dissection of sentinel node
• Potential pelvic lymphadenectomy
• Possible radiation, chemo, or clinical trials
• Comprehensive bloodwork
• Living expenses for taking at least 1 month off of work
