Meet Kassie

Kassie came to us after unimaginable trauma. When she arrived, she had what appeared to be stab wounds, and it looked like someone had tried to piece her back together with glue and staples. Despite everything she’s been through, Kassie has shown us just how resilient and loving she truly is.

Since being in our care, she has healed physically and has learned to trust within the home. She is incredibly smart, sweet, and good with other dogs. But outside of the home, Kassie still struggles. Due to her past, she experiences anxiety around new people and can go into fight-or-flight mode when she feels threatened.

We are looking for a **professional board-and-train program** that has experience with trauma cases and offers **rescue pricing** to help Kassie build confidence and safely socialize with people outside of her familiar environment.

As a small 501(c)(3) rescue, we do not have grants or funding, so we are also asking for **donations to help cover the cost of her training**. Every dollar will go directly toward giving Kassie the second chance she deserves.

Kassie was originally pulled from Devore Shelter and then abandoned by another rescue who felt she was “unadoptable.” They also said she wasn’t dog-friendly and wouldn’t do well with other dogs… well, as you can see… We refused to give up on her—and she has proven them wrong. Now she just needs a little more help to fully shine.

Kassie will be available for adoption to an experienced home that understands she will need patience, time, and continued support to feel safe and secure.
