On December 31, 2025, Kaleigh, along with Caleb and his friend, were involved in a serious car accident. Kaleigh was driving East on M21 when a red GMC truck recklessly pulled out, causing a collision that sent her vehicle spinning out of control. The car careened across the road, ultimately crashing into a yard after hitting a telephone pole and a tree. To make matters worse, the driver of the red GMC fled the scene, leaving Kaleigh and her passengers to deal with the aftermath alone.
Kaleigh is a very independent 17-year-old who now faces challenges that no young person should have to endure. Her car, now wrecked, was her lifeline, enabling her to travel to work, school, and between Grand Rapids and Ionia. Known for her kindness and huge heart, Kaleigh has always been there for others, and now it's our turn to show her some love and support. The financial burden of replacing her car is a heavy weight for anyone to carry, especially around the holidays. Because Kaleigh only has PLPD insurance and the other driver left the scene, she's responsible for all the costs. Her car is currently at Reuhs, accruing daily storage fees, which adds significant financial strain to an already difficult situation.
Your donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping Kaleigh regain her independence and get back on her feet. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word. Thank you for your generosity and support!
