Until a year ago Yoseph lived a healthy and vibrant life. Four years ago, Yoseph moved to Israel to study in a yeshiva and this past winter, at the age of 21 he married. His bride is now expecting their first child.
In mid-July, Yoseph unexpectedly experienced massive bleeding in his brain. Yoseph was rushed to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem where doctors worked tirelessly to stop the bleeding, alleviate internal pressure, and minimize brain injury. Yoseph's parents have flown in from Florida and his friends and family have remained by his side 24 hours a day, staunchly dedicated to his recovery.
Yoseph's journey to recovery will likely be long and complicated but we believe with all our hearts that he will prevail.
In the meantime, Yoseph's family is facing significant out-of-pocket medical costs that are mounting daily. His recovery over the months ahead will be a marathon - not a sprint - and the costs of rebuilding his life, while continuing to care for his growing family, will be immense and ongoing.
