Help Jood From Gaza Get Urgent Treatment

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Asma Abu-Dahab, a social worker and therapist based in the USA.

I urgently seek your support for baby boy Jood Ahmed Damo in Gaza, who is in desperate need of immediate evacuation to Egypt or any available country for crucial medical treatment to save his right leg.

Tragically, his mother lost her life while holding him after an Israeli air strike. He also lost 4 of his aunts in the air strike. Baby Jood, turning 2 on 01/10/2024, is confronting significant challenges in both his medical and mental well-being. I implore you to stand with me in fundraising to provide him with a chance at life and the opportunity to keep his leg.

Jood's physical injury involves fractures in the upper thigh, leg fractures, and significant damage to the skin and blood vessels. This has impacted the growth area of the foot, requiring several subsequent operations. The platinum fixator in the leg serves as a temporary device. Additional surgeries are crucial to address the extent of the injury.

As a psychotherapist, I observed the depth of his psychological distress both during a video call and through his father's narration of his behavior following the tragic loss of his mother and his injury. Jood will require psychotherapy to navigate and process his multiple traumas.

Imagine if this were your own child—that's precisely the reason I've embarked on this mission. I also have a precious child just like Jood.

This journey is too daunting to face alone. Your contributions and the sharing of this campaign can make a substantial impact.

Please donate and share to make a difference in baby Jood's life. The funds will be allocated to support Jood and his father currently in Gaza living in very difficult circumstances, coordinate an evacuation to Egypt or any other country and support their needs during this time. I am committed to documenting all transfers.

Jood's case has been shared on social media, and after contacting the father, I pledged to assist.

Jood's name means in Arabic generosity, giving, and goodness. Let's show this baby some Jood.
