Hey everybody! This is John.
As some of you may know, I am currently in hospice in my final chapter with Renal Cell Carcinoma, Stage 4 (kidney cancer).
My wife, Cybele, has not been able to work for the past few months due to my progressing condition. My medical team has been very helpful and transparent during this entire process. Unfortunately, the treatments have become ineffective.
Right now, I am focusing the time I have left spending meaningful moments with my wife and family, and am so very grateful to hold my grandson for the first time. I have invited friends and family to visit and pay respect so they can make peace with my end. Unfortunately, the bills have piled up and the costs are overwhelming—even with insurance, it is a financial struggle.
My goal is to raise $50,000 to ease my worry and give me some peace of mind. Truly, my biggest concern is the emotional impact on my wife and the financial burden left on her after I’m gone. Your donations would go a long way to ease this burden! Whether or not you are able to donate, consider sharing this page.
I’ve met so many amazing and wonderful people through the course of my life, some I’ve known since childhood and some more recent, but I cherish all of these connections! I’ve had a blessed life of experiences, from my military time to all kinds of travel, and different jobs all over, which led me to meet a lot of you. I’ve arrived at a place of peace and acceptance, with no need for a bucket list! Thanks to all of you for the many impactful and meaningful moments.
I love you all!
