I have set this GoFundMe up on behalf of John's family in order to help raise funds for treatment, covering bills and John's bucket list.

Below is a statement from Nathan Fairbrother, John's son, providing detail of what has happened to the John and their family.

​Most of you know my dad as a fighter, the life of the party, a kind soul. Recently, our world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and given 3-6 months to live.

​We want to make sure his remaining time is defined by peace, not stress. We are hoping to cover bills and provide the best care possible. We also have a dream of getting him to the countryside one last time while he is still mobile enough to enjoy it.

Every bit of help allows us to spend more time by his side and less time worrying about the cost of his care. Thank you for the love and support you’ve already shown our family.
