On April 10, 2021 my father, John Burris, went into cardiac arrest and was immediately put into a medically induced coma and put on full life support. He suffered an anoxic brain injury due to being without oxygen for a long period of time and his kidneys also failed causing him now to be on dialysis 4 days a week. He was in a coma for over 2 weeks before he finally started to respond. He has a long road ahead of him. He cannot talk or do anything himself. He will have to go to a nursing home/ rehabilitation center soon and then depending on how well he does he could possibly go home. Any funds will go to helping him and my mom with medical bills, costs of a rehabilitation center, and if he gets to come home it will also help to make their home safer for him (hand rails on stairs and things to help in the shower/bath).
