Helping John Behnke Jr make the most of the dash

Hi, my name is Heather Clifford and I met John as a co-worker, which easily turned into a friendship. We're the same age, both grew up in Chatham, 80's kid references and as is typical Chatham, know a lot of the same people.

In October 2024 John was diagnosed with rectal cancer, and in November 2024 was told it is stage 4 and has moved to other organs and his ribs as well.

At 42, his doctors tell him this is not a common diagnosis for his age, and that gives the doctors hope that he will beat the odds.

John knows he cannot promise time, but can promise memories. And that's how we can help. By helping to alleviate the burden of money, the family can focus on making memories. Tick off the bucket list. Take the pictures, tell the stories, laugh and love.

John is off of work while going through the tests and appointments necessary for diagnosis and treatment, and his fiancé Deb Pardo has been by his side every minute. This has financial strain with time away from work, as well as the increased costs for gas money, food, lodging while an hour and a half away from home.

John also has two teenage daughters that are undoubtedly scared for what the future will bring and John wants to help ensure that they are cared for as well.

Your contribution will help John, Deb, Kadence and Kyra to make the best memories while fighting this terrible disease.

All funds will be directed to John and Deb and if his dash comes to an end, a trust will be set up for Kadence and Kyra with the any remaining funds.
