I’m sharing this for my friend Joey, because she’s the kind of person who never asks for help even though she’s always the first to show up for others. She’s a hard worker, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a great friend — and right now she really needs some support.

Joey has been in the hospital since August 27th. She went to the ER for what she thought was something small, but it turned into two ER visits, several misdiagnoses, and finally the discovery of a peripheral artery blockage in her leg. Because of this, her big toe has developed a dead spot that has to be removed. But before that can happen, doctors must perform surgery to open the blockage in her leg artery so her toe can heal properly.

She hasn’t been able to work, and her job normally keeps her on her feet for hours at a time. The hospital is 40 minutes away, which has already added stress and expense to this whole ordeal.

Joey could really use some help with household bills, groceries, and gas while she goes through surgery and recovery.
