Helping Jo to get out of the house again!
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Jodie Marsh and one of my closest friends, Jo, who unfortunately has Huntington's Disease.
Jo has been using a small car that was loaned to us that had a wheelchair installed in it that we could transfer Jo into and get her out and about. To hydrotherapy, Art and Singing Days with her friends, appointments and most importantly to spend time with family.
Without it Jo is either relying on taxis, which are very expensive, or is stuck at home. In the more extreme weather (heat or rain) walking somewhere with her and her electric wheelchair is not an option.
This car has died and unfortunately the purchase of a new one is something that her and her family cannot afford.
We need your help please.
The funds would be used towards the purchase of a Kia Carnival which the NDIS will then pay for the conversion of, so that we can get Jo out and about in her electric wheelchair. Not only this, there would be plenty of room for her family to also be on board with her, something she has not been able to enjoy for a long time. She would be able to have her much loved grandkids on board with her, something that is important for her and for them, spending as much quality time with her as they can.
It is so important to me to see my friend be able to enjoy spending time with family but also have the ease of access to her activities, appointments and other events in a safe way.
