Jimmy Rogers has been a staple in the Pelham community and surrounding areas for many years. Following in his father's footsteps, Jimmy owned and operated an appliance and television repair shop. However, his work was not isolated to only that location. Jimmy is known throughout the area as a genius in electronics and was frequently asked to coordinate the sound and lighting for most plays, movies and other events in the region for over 50 years. His long association with the Thomasville On Stage and Company (TOSAC) was a passion and where he developed many lasting friendships. He served and sacrificed countless hours at Hand Memorial United Methodist Church in Pelham, coordinating their television ministry for more than 30 years. He often would work on events for free and his devotion to his community earned him a Citizen of the Year award in 1993. Jimmy's passion for the outdoors and biking drew him to several races and some across the state of Georgia. He would often include people who had worked for him to join him in this.

The recent years have brought a series of health challenges for Jimmy. With very little family nearby, he has relied on the help of friends to keep him at home as long as possible. After recent falls, trips to the hospital and declining health, he is now resigned to the fact that he will need to leave his beloved home of almost 82 years. However, he can't get to assisted/nursing living on his current income. Please contribute to help Jimmy live his remaining years comfortably and safely as we help him make this transition. Thank you!!
