Helping Jim through dialysis

Donation protected
On Wednesday, February 14th, Jim called 911 and was rushed to the hospital because he was unable to breathe. After several tests he was diagnosed with End-stage Renal Failure. Jim spent five days in the hospital where he had surgery to place a temporary shunt in his chest and had two rounds of dialysis. This week he will go to a dialysis clinic to begin a dialysis routine and to get help applying for Medicare and disability. He will also be put on the kidney transplant list. This is only the beginning as he will have another surgery for a permanent dialysis port as well as multiple doctor visits.

Naturally, this has come as a heart-breaking shock to Jim and his family. Dialysis is draining and extremely exhausting which means Jim is unable to work at this time. This means that he and his daughters are struggling financially with his rent, groceries, and medication. We’re asking again for help for this wonderful family until financial assistance is available and they are able to get back onto their feet after this devastating week.
