Helping Jill Heal and Rebuild

On November 9th, my dear friend of over 20 years was found unconscious with critically low oxygen levels. What followed has been a life-altering journey no one could have prepared for.

She was placed in a medically induced coma and intubated for 12 days. While she survived this terrifying experience, the aftermath has been devastating. She has suffered temporary paralysis and is currently unable to walk. She is now in a skilled rehabilitation facility, working incredibly hard to regain her strength — and has recently developed pneumonia, adding yet another hurdle to her recovery.

Jill is single and facing this battle largely alone. While she is in the process of applying for disability, the reality is that this takes time. In the meantime, her everyday bills — rent, utilities, insurance, and basic living expenses — continue to pile up.

Anyone who knows her knows how strong, kind, and independent she is. Asking for help does not come easily, but right now she needs the support of her community more than ever.
