Helping Jhadha King

Donation protected
Shortly after 8:30pm, Saturday August 1, Jhadha King and her friend returned to their local grocery store to return a tray of sushi that was unknowingly spoiled when they purchased it. They arrived just before the store closed but as they entered the store a West Palm Beach, Florida police officer attempted to close the door on them, despite the fact that the store was full of people and obviously still open. As she and her friend tried to gain the store managers attention in order to return the spoiled dish, the officer threatened the two young ladies with trespassing. Neither of the girls were happy about being denied entry into the store and they were making a lot of commotion, but nevertheless they retreated into the parking lot. As they walked back to their car the officer decided to escalate the situation and used what looks like excessive force against Jhadha. An officer came up to her and told her she had to leave. She was LEAVING and officer proceeded to follow and harass her while she was obeying his commands. He then grabbed her for no reason and threw her to the floor and then placed his knee on her neck. She was doing what she was told and he still violently arrested her. She has a black eye, a possible concussion, and bruises to her face, shoulders, arms, and neck. She was arrested on felony charges. She needs help with her medical bills and to hire a lawyer. She was charged with resisting arrest and has been released on bail.
