"Helping Jeff : A Heart of Gold in Need of Hope"

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support for someone truly special—my friend Jeff, known on the Appalachian Trail as "JStroke." Jeff is one of the most loving, kind-hearted people I’ve ever met. He has an incredible ability to bring a smile to your face, no matter how tough things are. His heart is pure, and he would go to the ends of the earth for his family and friends.

But right now, Jeff is struggling. As an introvert with ongoing mental health challenges, the weight of life’s pressures is taking a heavy toll. He’s out of work, and with bills piling up, he’s finding it harder to stay afloat. The depression he battles daily is deepening, and it’s heartbreaking to watch.

Despite these challenges, Jeff remains a strong believer, holding onto his faith even in the darkest times. His faith has been a source of strength for him, but he still needs a helping hand to get through this difficult period.

Jeff and I met on the Appalachian Trail in 2019, and that experience saved him for a time. The trail was his escape, a place where he could find peace away from the pressures of society. But since finishing the journey, life has been incredibly tough for him. Job changes, near-death experiences, and ongoing mental health struggles have made it nearly impossible for him to find his footing.

Jeff is the kind of person who never asks for help, even when he needs it most. He’s humble to a fault, always putting others before himself. I remember when COVID hit in 2020, and his fridge was nearly empty—he didn’t even have the heart to ask for help. The only thing left was a can of beans and some mac and cheese.

We all go through different phases in life. Some of us have the stability and support we need to get through tough times, while others, like Jeff, could use a little extra help. That’s why I’m asking, on his behalf, for any support you can offer. Even a few dollars could make a world of difference in helping him cover his bills and put food on the table.

Please consider helping Jeff out. Your generosity could be the lifeline he needs to get back on his feet.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support.

Sincerely,

Kris , AT Thru hiker of 2019 „Ding Dong”
