Dear Clients and Friends, I hope you are all staying safe during these times of uncertainty. I decided to create a go fund me page because I need help. Many of you have already contacted Sophie, my boss, to find out how you can help me. So this is the way you can do it. Thank you so much for going out of your way to try to help me. My reality right now is that I am running out of my savings and I do not know when I will be able to return to work. As you can imagine, the beauty industry is one of the businesses that have been impacted the most due to COVID 19 because if we do not work, we do not get paid. It is as simple as that. We only work based on commission. I have tried many times to apply for unemployment and I have not been able to submit my application because the system is overwhelmed with everyone applying at the same time. This situation is frustrating.
I am getting nervous because I have a mortgage to pay. I am also thinking about how I am going to eat and support my family if I run out of my savings before I can apply for unemployment. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for any government assistant because I own a house. In other words, I do not have any cash coming in at all. This situation has caused me to be late with my school payments that I was paying them off little by little with my tips. My biggest fear is that I won’t be able to return to school in the fall if I do not pay those payments next month. This makes me really sad because education is very important to me. All of you know my nature and I am not the type of person to ask anyone for even a penny. I take pride in myself and what I do for a living. I have been in this country for over twenty years and I have worked and improved myself from the day I arrived in this country. I raised three kids on my own without asking anyone for any help and I am so proud of that. However, I feel that I do not have any other choice but to ask for your kind cooperation right now. This situation is out of my control. Any help I will receive at this time will be much appreciated. As soon as they give us the ok to go back to work, I will be there waiting for all of you. I miss you guys so much and please stay safe. Your support means a lot to me.
