Hey there, my name is Kaitlin and this is Jarryd.

Jarryd is a close friend of mine who recently went to get his routine haircut and his hairdresser (me) told him he needed to get a lump in his neck checked out which had grown within the 4-5 weeks from his last appointment.

Initially he was told it wasn’t anything serious and to keep an eye on it. Over the past few weeks he had faced a few health issues which lead back to the lump. Finally it was cut out and sent off for testing.

Unfortunately the results came back as Hodgkins Lymphoma and has shown signs it has spread.

As one can imagine you never think this will happen to you especially being the tender age of 36. Jarryd will undergo treatment which will add on some financial stress due to the time that will be needed off work for treatment and recovery. Unfortunately to his health being problematic prior to the diagnosis he has been left with no holiday pay or sick leave.

Jarryd also has a little girl who will be affected during his treatment.

We are hoping to help take some financial stress off Jarryd’s living costs whilst he is undergoing treatment over the next 6 months so he can keep his body strong to fight this disease away.

Any help large or small is much appreciated. I can honestly say Jarryd is one of the most genuine people I have met and he would do anything for anyone if they needed it. He has a heart of gold.
