Helping Janaka and his family battle cancer
Donation protected
Reaching out to all my friends and family to help me raise some much needed funds for a dear old friend and team mate of mine Janaka Weerarathne. Fondly known as Junki (or 'Jam Butter Cheese') Janaka and I share a similar surname, passion for cricket and many fond memories growing up and playing cricket at Trinity College.
Janaka works for Mathurata plantations as an estate Manager and his wife, Priyanka at Sinhaputhra. Together they are parents to two young sons aged 11 and 13.
Following some recent medical tests, Janaka's family has been given the devastating news with a diagnosis of a stage 4 lung and bone cancer.
We dont need to go into the cost of treatment or family needs at this moment. But all can appreciate that this is a huge time in their lives, and your support, no matter how much, will help. My humble appeal to anyone who reads this is, let's come together for my friend, and for this family who needs our support to lessen their worries. Please continue to hold Janaka and his family in your thoughts and prayers. If you require any further details please feel free to get in touch with myself or one of his classmates from Trinity College Kandy (Class of 99)
