I have dedicated a lot of my life to helping and understanding the world of mental health, more specifically; the world of ABA (applied behavior analysis). The past several years I have been working as a Day Program Coordinator for a company that serves high behavioral clients. Our mission has always been to provide continuity of care and create community connections through the implementation of individualized behavior plans.
Due to the results of an ongoing audit the current residential and day program placement of our individuals is being shut down, come the 15th of August. The outcome of that audit has been detrimental to everyone involved, but most of all the well being of the individuals we serve. They are being forced to find new placement within the next two weeks and for most of them the level of care needed will not be able to be provided. With the amount of success they have made it would be heart breaking to see them end up in an institutionalized setting again.
With that being said, I am seeking help in raising money, so I can provide a host home setting for the individuals I currently serve. The funds raised will go towards covering licensing, insurance costs, rent, transportation, and enough cushion to be sustainable for the first year while we build a foundation.
