Helping IDP's in Tolta, Jinka, Metser, and Gazer

GoFundme has suspended our transfer, and we requested GoFundMe refund your donation. We received the first withdrawal on April 21, 2022, for $6,161.05 and sent it all to the account opened by the Zonal committee yesterday. The wire transfer advice has been posted on the Viber group "Jinkawian."

Hi friends and brothers. The conflict in my hometown has caused thousands of people to be displaced and their property destroyed. Elderly's , women, and little kids are displaced from their homes and their community and fled the town to take shelter in the neibouring towns. Over 150 houses are burned, and all their belongings are destroyed by a tribalist faction of the Ari people. We appreciate the Government and non-governmental organizations who has already helped the people with shelter and food, but help is needed to return the IDP's to their community and replace their belongings. A group of individuals who are originally from Jinka and its surroundings are lending hand to them. We will appreciate if any one of you donate what you can to save life.

This fund raiser is organized by the USA Committee in collaboration with the Addis Ababa committee and the Zonal Government Committee.

The Addis Ababa team is led by Solomon Kassa Bahitu for which we forward the fund to follow the implementation of the project.

The Zonal Government team is led by the Head of the finance department at the Zone.
