Helping Henrietta, the rescue English Bull Terrier

Donation protected
For those that know me personally, you clearly have met or know Henrietta, my senior rescued English Bull Terrier. She was found as a stray in August of 2021 in Utica, NY and likely was dumped from a backyard breeder, as she was not spayed. I had lost my bull terrier of 11 years just a few weeks prior and Henri came into my life at the perfect time to fill that empty hole. She came to me from the Bull Terrier Rescue Mission of NY and I’m forever thankful for them bringing us together.
She was originally deemed a “fospice” case, but she ended up being cancer-free and has made huge strides over her last two years living in Vermont. She came to me as a traumatized and fear-ridden dog who over the course of the last few years has learned to trust, love and finally feel comfortable. I want nothing more than to do right by her and make sure that the end of her difficult life is nothing but comfort and compassion given by those that love her. I am struggling to come to terms with the fact that I cannot afford this for her right now and am asking for any help that can be provided to assist with this unexpected cost.
Henrietta has developed a nasty mass on one of her toes that has been growing over the last few months. She also has several masses on a tender spot on her bum. She will need an amputation of the toe, as it is not in a location that’s ideal for removal, as well as a histopathology of the bum masses or removal. The prime reason for surgery is her dental needs, as her initial post-adoption dental needed to be cut short due to other surgical needs she had. She has several rotting teeth that need to be removed and could become concerning and dangerous for her if left in her mouth.
Henrietta needs to have this surgery ASAP, as she was recently diagnosed with Myxomatosis, a condition where the valves of her heart become leaky. The longer we wait, the less likely she will be viable for an anesthetic event. She was scheduled for surgery March 1, but I was able to push it back to April 30 to allow more time to procure the funding needed for the surgery, medications and necessary bloodwork prior to the procedure. This is why we are asking for help; time is of the essence here.
"Any extraneous funds that are earned will be donated to Bull Terrier Rescue Mission of NY, for all their hard work rescuing this amazing breed!"
“Ashley (AJ preferred) here! I wanted everyone to know that we are so incredibly grateful for your kind contributions to Henrietta’s health journey. I wanted to also share that Helping Bull Terriers Worldwide donated an additional $500 directly to the vet. Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”
