11/10/2025 Update: Benji is going under anesthesia tomorrow at CHLA for his ABR test. We will hopefully get some more answers and forward progress. They said it might be an overnight stay after and to come prepared. Say a prayer and send some pixie dust to his nervous parents.

Update: Benji failed his hearing test in his left ear. He will be referred for an ABR test (Auditory Brain Response) this is hard and good news at the same time because we will get a definite answer on his level of loss and how we can move forward.

Still awaiting bloodwork results from his Neuro appt as they needed a consult due to some abnormalities and to see a pediatric endocrinologist.

All well wishes, pixie dust and prayers welcome for our guy!

It sure is taking a toll on this mom and dad but we love him more than anything and can't wait for more answers to help him!

Never thought I'd have to be here asking for a little help, but here we are. It's us, the Williamsons, and we just need a little help.

As some of you know or are just learning, our little Benji was born with a double chromosome. He was diagnosed with Jacob's syndrome and at 2.5 has been evaluated to be that of a 10-month-old. We attend several therapy sessions a week to help his development as he is nonverbal, has coordination issues, and lacks all safety awareness. After days of seeming like he was in pain or suffering from dizziness, we requested an MRI which showed he has a cyst on his pituitary gland, which they also say can be common. However, after 8 months from the initial scans, he is now showing signs of growth and needs additional scans and specialist appointments at Children's Hospital LA.

Over the last few months, we have been hit with hardships of missed work due to increased illnesses and injuries and having to establish all new care while we waited for him to be reprocessed for his insurance. Due to this, we also lost our approval for his safety bed, which we have been fighting for for over a year and have to restart the process. We have also had to obtain a higher level of childcare as he has to be watched and followed or engaged nonstop, which adds to the financial hardship as we have 2 other kids as well. While they have no problem sacrificing their needs and time for Benji, we want to make sure they know we are doing all we can.

Jake (Benji's dad) has been working as much overtime as he can, but between appointments and therapy sessions, it doesn't add up to much. He has also been applying for a second job as well, but again, Benji's needs take time as well, so here we are turning to our friends, family, and anyone who wants to show us a little support and help. Every penny counts for these kiddos and making our home the safest and happiest place for Benji and his siblings to thrive.
