Helping Harlingen Families Rebuild After the Flood

Harlingen Needs You: Support Our Community After Historic Flooding

In late March 2025, our beloved community faced unimaginable devastation. Record-breaking storms left entire neighborhoods submerged, homes damaged, and families displaced across Harlingen, Texas. Students in the Harlingen—the heart and future of our city—now face heartbreaking challenges as their families struggle to rebuild their lives.

As a teacher, I've witnessed firsthand the deep emotional toll this disaster has taken on our students. Families lost precious belongings, safe spaces to sleep, and everyday essentials. The strength of Harlingen has always been our people and our sense of community—and right now, our neighbors urgently need our help.

This fundraiser aims to raise $5,000 to provide immediate relief to these families through the American Red Cross South Texas Chapter. Your donations will directly support:

  • Emergency shelters providing safe, warm places to stay.
  • Hot meals and clean drinking water for children and families.
  • Critical supplies like hygiene kits, clothing, and bedding.
  • Assistance for families to start rebuilding their homes and lives.

Every dollar donated stays in our community, supporting our neighbors, our students, and their families as they recover from this tragedy.

Let's show the resilience, compassion, and strength of the Harlingen community. Together, we can restore hope and help our families rebuild.

Please donate whatever you can and share this fundraiser widely—our students and community are counting on us.
