Helping Hardware Hank
Donation protected
Ten years ago today, the kid now known as Hardware Hank was born. Today, right after midnight this morning, I had to bring Hanky to the emergency vet. As those of you who know him know, Hank is the greatest being that I've ever known. I often say that he and I were made for each other.
Now, my kiddo is in a bad spot. He has an obstruction in his small intestine and fluid in his belly. He went from his chill, handsome, beautiful pup, to at risk of dying in two days. He's currently at Blue Pearl Emergency Vet and in the middle of surgery. The surgeon is honest in that they're unsure of what exactly is going on, but that Hank is very sick. The surgery will determine if there is a foreign body blockage or perhaps a deeper medical issue.
I apologize for the rambling of this story- the disjointedness can only speak to how very lost and scared I feel at the thought of losing our baby.
Dan, Peggy, and I are so grateful for the support we've received.
At this time, Hank's medical bills have surpassed $7,500 and we've been told that a extended stay at the hospital will only increase that bill. Any help, support, prayers, good intentions- all of it is so appreciated. Any funds not needed will be donated to the Midwest Animal Rescue, Hank's original rescue organization.
Help us save our best buddy.
