Helping Hands for Vanessa
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Kimberley, and I have started this "Go Fund Me" page for my wonderful & cherished Nanny Jonalyn's daughter Vanessa.
A little bit of background, I am from Australia and I live and work in Qatar, I have 3 children, Paris who is 26 at studying in Melbourne, Indigo who has just Graduated and little Rio who is 4. Living overseas we have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and my lovely Jonalyn is my Nanny who has been apart of my family for many years, she is undoubtedly one of my favourite people, her love & kindness, her sense of humor, her trust and even her dancing skills are pretty good.
About Vanessa she is from Iloilo in the beautiful Philipines, Vanessa is 25 years young and a loving mum to Tristan, who is 3 years old. Vanessa graduated from College with a degree in Hospitality in 2019. Vanessa married Ian in 2019, Ian and Vanessa are childhood sweethearts. Ian works away to help support his little family.
Vanessa is vibrant and young, her social media page is filled with photos with her best friend "her mum Jonalyn", photos of little Tristian's Birthday parties that she loves creating a new theme each year for him, photos of her brother, sister and fun family gatherings. Vanessa dreams of her home wish list "Living with family peacefully in a little White House" which she hopes one day to live in, and then there are all the photos of Switzerland and the mountains, Vanessa dreams to visit Switzerland one day, and breath in that fresh mountain air.
Simple dreams from a beautiful young soul.

In January 2020 Vanessa was sadly diagnosed with Leukemia, Jonalyn traveled back home to the Philipines just before the world went into lockdown, Jonalyn was able to spend 10 months with Vanessa through her first stages of treatment and, cared for her little grandson Tristan and was able to spend quality time with her 2 other children Yumi & Junchi.
Sadly, in March 2022, Vanessa had a severe relapse. Her oral chemotherapy is no longer working as it should have done. Vanessa was also suffering from an extremely bad bout of pneumonia, a progression of her leukemia. This made Vanessa extremely weak, Jonalyn returned back to the Philipines and has been by Vanessa's side the entire time in hospital.
Vanessa has spent most of the last 3 months in hospital. She has required constant blood platelet transfusions to save her life, at one stage the family had to go in search in clinics and asking people to donate to see if the platelet would be a match as the hospital had no supply. This treatment has been extremely costly to her and her family and has depleted all their savings. Myself and my family have been supporting for the donors for blood, hospitalization and extensive treatment. Now we asking all our friends, family and the community to lend a helping hand.
We are raising money for Vanessa to assist with the ongoing cost of hospitalization, treatment and to support the family during this devastating time.
Please help Vanessa during this most challenging battle. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
