Good morning. My name is Karla Noonan. I've known this young man since he was a young boy when his mother, Cindi, & I worked in the same salon together. It was exciting to learn that he would be advancing his career in the movie industry alongside my own family. First, apologies for the graphic picture. But the severity is real. When our own son, Taylor, passed our plan was to help other families that are going through what we did. But really it's just not that simple. Tragedies happen all the time. So of course we had to expand our plan. Joseph Butts, & his family, are in dire need since this tragedy, the picture, is now theirs. This is a table saw accident. Joseph is an IATSE brother of Todd's, Taylor's, & Connor's. My husband & children. They all know too well how dangerous this career is. Taylor lost his life doing it. Grateful Joseph did NOT, however, the life road they were traveling has now veered off into the black woods. Very little help or guidance there. Tough to do any job with one hand, especially when it's your dominant hand that's been taken away.

They have 2 young children & both parents will now suffer greatly as their roles, not just as parents, have changed. I'm praying with financial help, insurance only does so much, it will alleviate some of the burden so it does not affect the children. Please consider helping this young family find some light in those black woods. From our own experience, it's very very dark in there.

Joseph was life flighted to Augusta. They live in Savannah. Clearly time away from income is inevitable. Carol will be needing to drive back & forth to Augusta & find lodging. Someone to care for the children. So clearly areas of need will be food, lodging, gas, meds, therapies, childcare, etc.
