Helping Hands for the Borge Family
We are long time friends of Edna and Marlon Borge and we would like to assist them with extraordinary expenses.
Where to begin ?
Edna and Marlon were high school/college sweethearts.
They’ve been together for 34 years and on June 18 will celebrate 27 years of wedded bliss. For the most part, the years have been
happy and they raised 3 beautiful children.
Bianca 26, a college grad and now successfully employed. Marlon Jr. 23 who is currently working.
Jean-Luc 17, a soon to be graduate of North Rockland HS who will
be attending Dominican College in the fall.
Unfortunately in July of 2017 a horrible illness invaded the Borge home...ALS. Those of us old enough to remember know it as Lou
Gehrig’s disease...and we all know the havoc it can wreak on a person as well as their entire family. The kids and Marlon have been alternating taking care of Edna, who is now totally bedridden and it has reached a point where it is physically and fiscally impossible tocontinue. The children need to get on with their lives. Marlon, who has been out of work since 2020 due to Covid, shoulder surgery and a herniated disc needs to return to his job.
The funds will be used for a new mattress for her hospital bed and to catch up on payments for the handicap van in addition to other major expenses.
Edna requires 24 hour care, so this will enable the family to hire aides and allow Marlon to return to his job.
